The idea for the Z3x2 is actually credited to a Ford guy!

Carl Binius, founder of Carl's Ford Parts in Alliance, OH is the Eastern U.S. distributor for Holley and uses their carbs exclusively for his Ford engine builds. But along the way, Carl recognized that no one had ever developed a 3-2BBL intake system for Small Block Chevy motors utilizing Holley carburetors.

Carl did preliminary design work on a 3-2BBL intake system for small blocks but realized he needed both engineering and manufacturing assistance. For that he turned to Gary Lester, an engine customer and former principal of Lester Die Casting of Bedford Hts., OH.

Gary liked the idea so much, he decided to finance the project and oversee development and manufacturing of the castings—and Lester Performance Products was formed. Carl spun off a new division to handle marketing and sales of the Z3x2—MultiCarbs Inc.

Lester Performance Products teamed up with the original developers of Trick Flow Heads™ to develop the air flow technology for the Z3x2.

The Z3x2 is designed, engineered and manufactured in the USA. From CAD models, prototypes, computer air flow simulations, dyno testing and street use, the Z3x2 is a thoroughly tested intake system that delivers both great acceleration and drivable fuel economy.
